Magic so close you can't look away.

Magic for corporate events, weddings and private parties. Close-up or on a big stage.

Michael Fischbacher, magician from Kriens. Performing across Switzerland.

My magic needs only one thing, and that is an audience.

“Magic happens in the mind of the spectator.”

What I offer

Three ways to bring magic to your event

The best start is a short conversation about what suits your event. More often than not we end up with a combination nobody had thought of.

Stand-up magic show

I perform standing in front of all your guests, and the audience gets drawn in with plenty of humour.

The show lives on wonder and laughter, not on secrecy. By the end everyone has seen something they cannot explain.

  • Length20 to 40 minutes
  • AudienceFrom 20 people
  • TechnicalHeadset and a riser in large rooms
Ask about the stand-up show

Close-up magic and table hopping

I move from group to group, from table to table. Five to ten minutes per round, then I go on to the next.

Ideal for the welcome drinks, for the wait before dinner or between courses. Guests who do not know each other start talking about the magic, and that is often the real benefit.

  • Length1 to 3 hours
  • AudienceNumber of guests does not matter
  • TechnicalNothing needed
Ask about table hopping

Close-up theatre

A side room, a small table, a semicircle of chairs. A miniature theatre for up to twenty people.

This is the most intense format. Everyone sits close enough to touch the cards. With more guests I run the programme several times in a row.

  • LengthAround 30 minutes per round
  • AudienceUp to 20 people per round
  • TechnicalA separate room with chairs
Ask about close-up theatre

And this is how close your guests can see it.

Venues

Where I have performed

  • In a theatre Kleintheater Luzern.
  • In the 1920s Speakeasy Magic, Zurich. The magic show in the style of the 20s.
  • At 2,222 m Jochpass Restaurant. Up by gondola, deck of cards in the rucksack.
  • On the water A steamship on Lake Lucerne or on the Rhine, in a light swell.
  • In the woods A forest hut with no electricity. Candlelight is plenty.

If your event happens somewhere unusual, that is an argument for me rather than against. I need no stage build and no power, only a place where people come together.

About me

It all started in my childhood bedroom

Born in 1995, grew up in Stansstad in the beautiful canton of Nidwalden. During my commercial apprenticeship I came to magic by chance. After that I sat at my desk almost every evening and practised until my fingers glowed.

Even then it was clear to me that I wanted to do this professionally one day. Today I do. I live in Kriens near Lucerne and travel across Switzerland from there.

When I am not doing magic I am outdoors: climbing, hiking, tennis. Anything as long as I am not sitting around all day.

What matters most to me is that everyone has a good time and that we laugh a lot together.

“Rather than moving mountains in spectacular fashion, he set about producing great astonishment with small feats.”
